How do I reserve a photo session?
Please email me and tell me a little bit about what you're looking for. As soon as we have decided on the details, we can set up a date and time for the session.
Which locations do you recommend for a portrait session?
I do outdoor photography sessions, indoor shoots, and love to explore new places around the Boston metro area. The best places are where you feel most comfortable so you enjoy the session as much as possible. I'd love to talk with you about your ideas. Feel free to send a message and we can talk about the details.
How should we prepare for portrait session?
Good mood is the most important thing! Make sure you have enough time to prepare beforehand so you are not stressed and you wear comfortable clothing fitting the season. With kids it helps to bring something to drink and some little treats to make it easy for them as well. We can go through specific pointers and questions before your session so we can ensure you are well prepared.
What happens if we are running late to our shoot? Will you extend the shooting time?
If a client is late I will do my best in the time that is remaining to get everything we both need out of the session, but I don’t extend the session time.
The full portrait sessions are quite long in the time frame available. I do this so people can be relaxed and happy during the session and don’t need to be stressed about the time.
What if it is raining during an outdoor session or due to the weather there is no sunset?
In the case of rain or bad weather we will have to improvise! Sometimes that means finding shelter or finding other creative way to capture the moment. If the weather is potentially damaging to the equipment we will be restricted to areas that we can safely shoot. Bad weather is not a reasons itself to cancel a session, but where possible I’ll try my best to find alternative arrangements – e.g. change locations, wait the weather out.
Are you available to stay longer if we want to hire you for more time on the spot?
Depending on availability I may be able to stay for an additional time. The rate depends on the kind of event we are covering.
How soon after the event are the images ready?
A sneak preview will be published on social media within one week after the session. The final images will be ready within 2 to 3 weeks.
What rights do I have to the digital files?
If your selected packages includes digital files you will receive reproduction rights to all your images. This gives you the right to reproduce the images for personal use, so you can use them for prints, sharing them on your social media, making canvases, etc. Commercial use is not allowed if not separately agreed on. The copyright of the images will be with the photographer. I may also use your images on social media sites as well as my website.
How can I pay you?
We can discuss this at the time of booking. However, most of the time clients choose to pay through cash or check.
